Immersive data storytelling in Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), or Mixed Reality (MR) environments has the potential to increase engagement and comprehension of data-driven narratives. However, creating and structuring narratives in immersive environments has distinct obstacles. This master thesis delves into said challenges and develops a Storybook metaphor that transitions 2D charts and data into the surrounding 3D environment. This method exemplifies the ample space for creativity in immersive environments as means to communicate data insights.
