This project, developed at the Chair of Immersive Media Design, presents a Meta Quest 3-based multi-user Mixed Reality environment designed for collaborative 3D fashion design education. The MR environment eliminates the need for physical fabric at the prototyping stage, allowing students to iterate on seam placement and fabric fitting in real time. Multiple students can occupy and interact within the same virtual workspace simultaneously, replicating the collaborative dynamics of a physical studio. Students can visualize and construct fashion prototypes in a virtual setting that replicates a physical workspace, allowing them to experiment without physical material waste. Teachers can interactively guide students by highlighting elements, providing real-time feedback, and offering design guidelines. This work-in-progress project contributes to integrating Mixed Reality into fashion design pedagogy, laying the groundwork for future evaluation.
